RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) - Boise State trailed North Carolina State by as many as 15 points in the second half Friday, before mounting a furious rally to get within one with 1:29 left. The Broncos could not complete the comeback as the Wolfpack's Trevor Lacey scored two huge baskets in the final 65 seconds and Boise State fell 60-54.

Lacey hit a driving basket with 1:05 left, then drained a contested jumper over Nick Duncan with 25.2 seconds left on the next possession to keep N.C. State (6-0) in control with a 59-54 lead.

Lacey also rebounded Anthony Drmic's missed 3-pointer on the next possession, providing a do-everything performance late that the Wolfpack desperately needed to hang on.

Ralston Turner added 14 points for N.C. State, while Anthony "Cat" Barber scored 10.

The Broncos (4-2) got a surprisingly strong offensive performance from James Webb III, who hadn't scored all year but finished with 12 points on 5-for-5 shooting.
