BOISE, Idaho - Boise State (10-5-3, 5-2-2 MW) picked up its 10th win of the season on Friday with a 3-1 result against Nevada (1-16, 0-9 MW) at the Boas Soccer Complex. The victory stretches the Broncos' unbeaten streak to five games - the longest such stretch for the program in Mountain West regular season play since 2012 (Oct. 12 - 17).

In addition, the team's four-game streak of scoring at least two goals is the first since 2008 (Sept. 19 - Oct. 3). The 10th win also gives head coach Jim Thomas his second 10-win season at the helm in Boise.

"I think all of these games are championship games now to be honest," Thomas said after the game. "I think the Wyoming game was very pivotal for us after we dropped some points against Colorado State. I think today was a veiled game - it was a difficult game for us to get three points as comfortably as we would like, but we ended up getting it. Each of those three-point steps that you take open up a door to something else. New Mexico won today, so it was important that we won today to stay within one point."

Now with 17 points in conference play, the Broncos are keeping pace with second-place New Mexico (18 points) and are guaranteed to be in fourth place or better once the remainder of the night's games are played throughout the league. San Jose State sits atop the conference with 22 points.

Raimee Sherle once again was the star of the match in earning her second brace of the season with goals in the 35th and 53rd minutes. The multi-goal game is the third of the sophomore's career, and the second in the last three games.

With 12 goals and 29 points on the season, Sherle now holds the No. 2 spot in both categories in the Bronco single-season record book. She has also scored in four-consecutive games, which ties the school record.

"The special thing about Raimee, is that what you see in games is what we see in training all the time," Thomas said on Sherle. "It's inventive, it's creative and it's a little unpredictable. I think our job as coaches is finding those pockets to get her the ball, and not make it too difficult for her to get the ball in the first place. How we do that is enabling her to be herself, and encouraging her to explore what that is."

Both of Sherle's goals came from assists from Aubree Chatterton - another Treasure Valley native. The first was a beautiful through ball that Sherle carried into the box and beat the keeper to her left, and the second was a last-second pass from Chatterton after she had advanced the ball deep into the box all the way from midfield. She passed the ball off to Sherle right in front of the goal to make it 2-0 game.

"I think we have a lot going for us right now," Sherle said after the game. "We win most 50-50 balls. Whenever we play out wide, we get great opportunities from it. We have great people who can pass the ball. We're really good and I'm excited for our future."

Nevada made it a 2-1 game in the 54th on a penalty kick from Morgan Beye. Boise State quickly answered, however, in the 57th minute with a goal from McKenna Kynett. The sophomore picked up her fifth goal of the season when Falon Miller controlled the ball in the box and dumped the ball off to a cutting Kynett, regaining the two-goal lead in the process.

Boise State outshot the Wolf Pack 25-6. Sherle and Kynett both tallied five shots each while Janelle Flores made one save before being relieved by Tara Fisher late in the second half.

The Blue and Orange will play its final home game of the season on Sunday, Oct. 22 against UNLV back at the Boas Soccer Complex at 1 p.m. The team's six seniors: Baylee Blaser, Madi Campbell, Janelle Flores, Falon Miller, Sarah Taylor and Jessie Vogel will all be honored prior to the beginning of the game.
