May 3, 2017 BOISE, Idaho – Boise State’s men’s and women’s golf, women’s tennis and swimming & diving programs each received Public Recognition Awards from the NCAA for having multi-year Academic Progress Rate (APR) scores in the top-10 percent of their respective sports nationally, the NCAA announced Wednesday.

Boise State’s four Public Recognition Awards are the second-most in the Mountain West, trailing only Fresno State (five).

The Broncos’ women’s golf team has received a Public Recognition Award in each of the last four years, and women’s tennis has earned the accolade in each of the last three.

The APR provides a real-time look at a team’s academic success each semester by tracking the academic progress of each student-athlete on scholarship. The APR accounts for eligibility, retention and graduation, providing a measure of each team’s academic performance.

The full APR report, which will include 2015-16 scores for all teams, will be released by the NCAA next Wednesday (May 10).
