Broncos finish third at fog shrouded Husky Invitational

SAMMAMISH, Wash. - For the second day in a row, the start of play was delayed due to fog at the Husky Invitational. Once play began, Boise State fired off one of the best rounds of the day which helped them to climb to a solo third-place finish at +46 (372-379-360=1111).

Junior Brian Humphreys continued his strong start to the season with his second top-10 finish in as many weeks, firing rounds of 76-73-69=218 to finish tied for seventh (+3). Freshman Hugo Townsend continued his strong collegiate start with his second top-15 finish, shooting +8 (74-74-73=221) to finish in a tie for 12th. Junior transfer Joe Neuheisel had an impressive start to his season, matching Townsend in a tie for 12th at +8 with rounds of 73-76-72=221.

Sophomore Skyler Eubank finished the tournament in a tie for 25th at +11 (74-77-73=224). Junior Michael Rizzo fired off rounds of 75-82-73=230 to close tied for 40th.  Junior Mason Schulze finished the tournament tied for 53rd with rounds of 78-79-79=236.

Boise State next tees off at the Westheimer Intercollegiate, hosted by the University of North Texas, Oct. 6-8 in Dallas, Texas.
