BOISE, Idaho – The Bulldogs' Deshon Taylor scored all of his 15 points in the second half and Fresno State rallied to defeat Boise State 63-53 on Saturday night.
Boise State led 28-22 at halftime after Fresno State shot 34 percent and made 2-of-15 3-pointers. The Bulldogs, the leading 3-point shooting team in the Mountain West Conference, made 5-of-8 3-pointers in the second half and outscored the Broncos 41-25.
Fresno State (13-4, 4-1) first tied the game at 35 with 12:02 remaining in the second half. There were two more ties but the Broncos never regained the lead.\

Through it all, however, the Blue and Orange still did a good job of guarding Fresno State, as the 63 points was the second fewest of the season for the Bulldogs. The visitors shot 44.2 percent from the field (23-of-52).
The seven 3-pointers (7-of-23, 30.4%) was tied for second fewest of the season for the Bulldogs, as well.
The Broncos also did an outstanding job on the Bulldogs' Braxton Huggins, keeping Fresno State's leading scorer to six points (came into the game 19.3 ppg). Boise State has now limited the opposition's leading scorer to well under their season average for points in four of five Mountain West games.
The Broncos lost by one point to No. 10 Nevada last time out.
The Broncos will now face a short turnaround before they play at Air Force, Tuesday, Jan. 22 in what will be a 7 p.m. tip at USAFA, Colo. The game will broadcast on AT&T SportsNet.
