BOISE, Idaho - The Boise State football team, ranked Nos. 14 and 13 in the Associated Press and Coaches Polls, respectively, will travel to Provo, Utah, to square off against BYU, Saturday (Oct. 19). Kickoff between the Broncos (6-0) and Cougars (2-4) is scheduled for 8:15 p.m., and the game will be nationally televised on ESPN2.

CLIMBING THE RANKINGS
The Broncos' rankings this week are the highest in each poll since checking in at No. 13 both the AP and Coaches Polls Oct. 23, 2016, prior to a road match-up with Wyoming. The Broncos, 7-0 at the time, fell on the road to the Cowboys (30-28; Oct. 29) that week, and dropped to No. 24 in each poll.

NO PLACE LIKE THE ROAD
The Broncos have won each of their last six road games, tied with Alabama for the third-longest streak in the country. Only Oklahoma (22) and Clemson (nine) carry longer streaks into this week. The Sooners and Crimson Tide are both home this week, and Clemson will play at Louisville.

THE SERIES
Despite being just 380 miles apart, Saturday's meeting is just the 10th all-time between Boise State and BYU. This week's game is also the eighth of a 12-year series that began in 2012 and will end in 2023. The schools announced a series extension earlier this season – after a one-year hiatus in 2024, the rivalry will resume in Boise in 2025 for the first of a 10-year scheduling home-and-home agreement.

This will be just the third Boise State-BYU game to played on a Saturday, and the second such game to be played in Provo (Sept. 12, 2015). The Broncos are 7-2 against the Cougars all-time, the only losses coming on the road in both 2013 (37-20) and 2015 (35-24). Boise State is 2-2 at LaVell Edwards Stadium, though won the last meeting there, a 24-7 victory, Oct. 6, 2017.

A CHANCE FOR HISTORY
As showcased on page four, Boise State currently ranks No. 2 on the NCAA's all-time list of winningest football programs. Since 1968, when Boise State began playing football as a four-year institution, the Broncos are 454-168-2 – a winning percentage of .729. The mark is second only to Michigan (.730; 958-343-36).

Should Boise State defeat BYU this weekend, and if No. 16 Michigan falls at No. 7 Penn State, the Broncos will move past the Wolverines on the all-time list. The Broncos' winning percentage would be .7296, compared to .7295 for Michigan. Since the turn of the century, Boise State is 213-41, a winning percentage of .839 – the highest in the country. Ohio State is second nationally since 2000, going 212-42 (.835).

OCTOBER RECORD
Boise State is 20-3 under Bryan Harsin during the month of October, including two victories this season. Since joining the Western Athletic Conference in 2001, Boise State is 70-5 during the month of October, and 81-14 since joining the FBS in 1996.

PERFECT IN 2019
Entering this week, there are only 12 undefeated teams in college football, including the Broncos. Joining Boise State amongst the undefeated are Alabama, Appalachian State, Baylor, Clemson, LSU, Minnesota, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Penn State, SMU, and Wisconsin.
