Jessica Donahue tied the school record for blocks with 12 against the Wolf Pack.

BOISE, Idaho - Jessica Donahue tied the school record for blocks in a match with 12 and tallied a double-double, but it was not enough for the Broncos as Boise State lost a home Mountain West Conference match Thursday night to Nevada 3-1 (25-18, 25-22, 23-25, 25-23).

Both teams struggled hitting the ball in the match as the Broncos finished at 13 percent to the Wolf Pack's 16.5 percent, but Nevada took advantage of a few more of its opportunities to defeat Boise State.

Donahue led the team at the net with a career-high 12 blocks to go with 10 kills to notch her first double-double of the season. She now has 28 blocks in her last three contests.

Two other Broncos recorded double-doubles on the night as well, Janell Walley had a team-high 11 kills with 13 digs —  she also tied her career-high for blocks with eight —, while Danielle Boss had 36 assists and 17 digs, both team highs.

The match saw 22 ties and 10 lead changes as the two teams went back and forth. The Blue and Orange started the match slow and found themselves down two sets to none. However, Boise State battled back to take the third set and force the contest into a fourth. Unfortunately, Nevada regrouped and held off the Broncos to take the fourth by two points to clinch the victory.

Boise State was dominant at the net collecting a season-high 18 blocks to Nevada's seven. But the Broncos just could not find their touch offensively as they fell to 10-4 on the year and 2-1 in conference play, Nevada is 12-3 overall and 2-1 in MW action.

The Broncos will return to action at 2 p.m. (MT) Saturday when they host San Jose State in Bronco Gym.
