Lauren Ohlinger led a balanced Boise State attack Thursday night recording team-high 11.5 points.
SAN JOSE, Calif. - On a night that was all Boise State, Lauren Ohlinger's nine kills and three blocks led the Broncos to a sweep at San Jose State 25-14, 25-22, 25-22 in a Mountain West road match. Boise State opened strong, played consistent and hit the ball well throughout the match finishing the night at 26.6 percent hitting while holding San Jose State to 15.4 percent.
The win was the third straight for Boise State who improved to 15-7 overall and 7-4 in MW play, while SJSU moved to 7-15 and 2-9 in league.Â
The first and third sets were all Boise State. The first set saw three ties and three lead changes early before Boise State used a 15-2 run to go from 3-2 down to 17-5 up. In the third set, Boise State led the entire way with four match points before putting it away 25-22.
The second set went back and forth with 15 ties and 11 lead changes. Trailing by three at 19-16 to the Spartans, Boise State regrouped and rallied with a 4-0 run — powered by kills from Shae Duffy and Jessica Donahue — to take the lead. Then tied at 21 all, Boise State put the set away with an Ohlinger kill and a Donahue service ace that clinched the 25-22 win.Â
Ohlinger added seven digs and a service ace to her team-high nine kills and three block assists. Kiley Lewis followed adding seven kills while hitting 33.3 percent. Alyssa Wissinger was third offensively hitting a team-high — for players with five or more attacks — 55.6 percent for six kills to go with two block assists.Â
Danielle Boss led the team with 30 assists from the setter position to go with two kills, one service ace, nine digs and a block. Janell Walley, who  played on the back row only, finished with a team-high 10 digs.Â
The Broncos will close out two weeks on the road Saturday afternoon in Reno, Nev., when they face the Nevada Wolf Pack (15-8, 5-6 MW) at Noon (Mountain). The Wolf Pack swept Utah State Thursday night in Reno.Â

- Boise State won the 37th meeting of the series to take a 19-18 lead overall and a 10-2 advantage in MW encounters.
- The Broncos' Blue Wall was relatively quiet Thursday as Boise State tied its season low for team blocks with five, two more than its opponent.
- Boise State hit 26.6 percent against the Spartans breaking a four-match stretch of sub-20 percent hitting ... the Broncos hit above 20 percent in all three sets starting at 21.4 percent in set one and finishing with a match-high 30.8 percent in the third.
- Ohlinger's nine kills were a team high, marking the sixth time this season that the freshman has led the team in kills.
- For the third time this season the Broncos had double-figure service aces finishing with 10 tonight ... they had five in the third set ... Jordi Holdaway had a team-high three.
