ABOUT THE YELLOW JACKETS: Georgia Tech is 4-5 on the season. Three Yellow Jackets are scoring in double figures, led by Michael Devoe's 18.4 points per game. James Banks III is blocking 3.7 shots per game, to go with his 10.9 points and 7.8 rebounds per outing. Georgia Tech is shooting 28.7 percent from three-point range, while allowing opponents to connect at a 32.1 percent clip beyond the arc.

SERIES HISTORY: Sunday is the first all-time meeting between Boise State and Georgia Tech on the hardwood. The Broncos are 0-3 all-time against current members of the Atlantic Coast Conference. The only meeting with an ACC opponent during Leon Rice's tenure was a loss at North Carolina State (Nov. 28, 2014).

ON THE BIG STAGE: The 2019 Diamond Head Classic marks Boise State's seventh appearance in a major early-season tournament in the last eight years. The Broncos participated in the 2018 Cayman Islands Classic, 2017 Puerto Rico Tip-Off at Myrtle Beach, 2016 Charleston Classic, 2015 Wooden Legacy and 2013 Diamond Head Classic. Prior to the 2013 Diamond Head Classic, Boise State had not played in a major early-season tournament since 2000 (Pearl Harbor Classic).

THE MISSING PIECE: Boise State will welcome Abu Kigab to the rotation this week. Kigab joined the Broncos in January as a transfer from Oregon. After sitting out the 2019 spring and fall semesters, he is once again eligible to compete. Head coach Leon Rice said, "if you could make a Christmas list of the things we need on this team right now, Abu checks all of those boxes."
