BOISE, Idaho – Boise State couldn't overcome a cold shooting night from the field as Colorado State was able to grab the 76-62 win Wednesday night at Taco Bell Arena.
Â
The Broncos shot 39.7 percent from the field, going 27-of-68. The team was also just 5-of-27 from three (18.5%), as well.
Â
Justinian Jessup led the way with a career-high 25 points. The performance gives him his fifth 20-point game of the season. Alex Hobbs (12 points) and RJ Williams (10 points) also finished in double figures for the Broncos.
Â
Nico Carvacho had 19 points and 14 rebounds to lead five Colorado State players in double figures.
Â
Boise State trailed 33-26 at the half after Jessup was able to pace the home team with 11 points in the first 20 minutes of play.
Â
After trailing for most of the second half by double digits, Boise State mounted a run late and cut the deficit to seven at 62-55 with 5:42 to play, but CSU was able to re-extend the lead and eventually claim the win.
Â
The Colorado State victory was the first for the Rams in Boise since 1991. The Bronco loss gives the two teams a split in the conference regular season. Boise State claimed the 70-68 win back on Jan. 29 in Fort Collins, Colo.
Â
Boise State will now go on a two-game road trip, first facing UNLV on Saturday, March 2 with tip set for 7:30 p.m. PT at the Thomas & Mack Center. The game will broadcast on CBS Sports Network.
