FORT COLLINS, Colo. - Boise State survived an eight-point fourth quarter in which it went scoreless for over seven minutes, as Marta Hermida went 4-for-4 from the line in the extra session and the Broncos took a 72-63 overtime win at Colorado State.

Hermida hit all six of her freebies in overtime and scored 17 points, as she just missed a double-double with nine rebounds.

Joyce Harrell led a strong Bronco effort on the boards, grabbing 10 including a critical rebound out of the hands of Colorado State's Grace Colaivalu in the extra session which led to a Bronco score.

Braydey Hodgins matched the Boise State program record with her sixth-straight 20-point game, hitting the mark on the nose. She is now tied with Michelle Schultz, who had a six-game, 20-point streak from Dec. 31, 1995-Jan. 20, 1996.

Boise State endured a scoring drought of 7:07 to start the fourth quarter, as Colorado State took advantage of the lull to get within a point at 51-50. Hodgins stopped the drought with a pair of free throws, and the Broncos got a quick 6-0 run to go up 57-50 before the Rams again fought back. Jayde Christopher went 1-for-2 from the line twice in the final minute, leading to Colaivalu's game-tying layup with 19 seconds to play, and the game went to overtime after Hodgins' floater at the buzzer missed.

In overtime, the Rams took a 61-59 lead on a Colaivalu jumper, but Boise State would answer with seven-straight points, capped by Christopher grabbing a loose ball with five on the shot clock and draining a triple, putting the Broncos up 66-61 with 1:43 to go.

The Rams went 0-for-4 the rest of overtime after Colaivalu's opening jumper, while Hermida hit all four of her free-throw attempts in the final minute to help seal the win.

Colaivalu scored 16 points for the Rams, while Mollie Mounsey had a team-high 17.

Colorado State made it clear from the start of the contest that it would force the Broncos to win this one from the perimeter, packing multiple bodies into the paint on defense. The strategy worked for most of the first quarter, as the Broncos opened the game 4-for-14 and missed their first five 3-point attempts until Jayde Christopher's triple broke a 10-10 tie with just over a minute to go in the frame. Hodgins would score on a scoop shot in the paint before the buzzer as the Broncos took a five-point lead through the opening quarter.

Jade Loville forced back-to-back turnovers, going coast-to-coast to lay in the first and passing off the second to Joyce Harrell for another fast-break score to put the Broncos up 19-10 and force a Ram timeout just 2:04 into the second. The Bronco shooting cooled off, though, as Colorado State made six-straight field goals over a span of just over three minutes, capped by a triple from Mollie Mounsey to take a 26-24 lead.

The Broncos recovered, scoring six-straight to retake the lead, and Lupfer hit a corner 3 with 1:27 to go to give the Broncos a 33-28 lead at the break.
