Erlam Reaches NCAA Zone E 3-Meter Springboard Championship Final

FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. – Boise State's diving tandem of senior Cassidy Bose and freshman Marti Erlam opened the NCAA Zone E Championships on the 3-meter springboard Monday afternoon in Flagstaff, Ariz.
Erlam competing in the first NCAA Zone meet of her career advanced into the final round as one of 18 finalists out of 57 participants in the event. The native of Calgary, Alberta, Canada, finished the day in 12th place overall with a two-round score of 568.55. The freshman proved to be consistent on the day recording a 287.25 in the prelims – good for 10th – followed by a 281.30 in the final.
Bose was the only other Bronco to qualify for the zone meet. The senior turned in a 259.35 during the preliminary round to place 23rd overall.
Both Boise State divers will continue on in the zone meet over the next two days with Erlam competing on the 1-meter springboard Tuesday, while Bose will compete Wednesday on the platform. Bose advanced to the NCAA Championships in 2017 on the platform and is looking for a return trip this year.
