NEW ORLEANS - The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announced the first NCAA DI Cross Country Regional Rankings of the 2019 season. Both Boise State cross country teams earned top-10 honors in the West Region, Monday.

The Bronco women are ranked second in the region behind only Washington. Last season they punched their fourth ticket in the last five years to the NCAA Championships by finishing second in the region. The women were ranked third at the beginning of the 2018 season.

The Boise State men are ranked sixth in the west with Portland as the only non-Pac 12 team listed ahead of them. The men received an at-large bid to the NCAA Championships last season after finishing third in the 2018 NCAA West Regional. The men began the 2018 season ranked sixth.

The Broncos will travel to Logan, Utah, for the Sagebrush Invitational, Aug. 31. The meet will give the Blue and Orange an early-season look at the MW Championships course they will face Nov. 1.
