Women's Team Closes Season in NCAA Top 25

Kuyo Earns All-American Honors

COLUMBIA, Mo. – Representing Boise State as an automatic qualifier, Meshack Kuyo placed 27th and was named an All-American in the NCAA Cross Country Championships, Saturday.

Participating in the men's 10k, Kuyo ran a career-best time of 28:58.0. He placed 27th in a field of 259 runners.

With his performance, Kuyo is the ninth Boise State student-athlete to earn NCAA All-American status. He is the first Bronco to receive the honor under Head Coach Pat McCurry.

Additionally, Alex Thompson finished the men's 10k with a time of 29:57.1. His time was also a career best.

In the women's race 6k race, The Broncos finished 22nd. Kaiya Robertson was the top Bronco finisher, collecting a time of 19:33.0. She bested her NCAA West Regional 6k time of 19:44.4.

  • Collectively, the women's team finished ahead of nine schools from power conferences including four from the SEC (LSU, Missouri, Tennessee, Texas A&M), two from the ACC (Boston College and Virginia) and Big East (Villanova, Providence) and one from the Big Ten (Wisconsin).
