BOISE, Idaho -Â The Boise State football team will play host to San Jose State in the Broncos' final regular-season home game of the 2020 season, squaring off against the Spartans, Saturday (Nov. 28).
Boise State (4-1, 4-0 MW) and SJSU (4-0, 4-0 MW), two of the final three undefeated squads in Mountain West play, are slated to kick at 2:05 p.m., and the game will be nationally televised by Fox.
A Boise State home game has not been broadcast on one of the primary national networks – Fox, CBS, NBC or ABC – since the 2014 MW Championship Game (Dec. 6, 2014), a game the Broncos won, 28-14, over Fresno State.
The last regular-season home game to air on one of the primary national networks was Oregon State (Sept. 25, 2010), a game the Broncos won, 37-24, on ABC. ESPN's College GameDay was also at Albertsons Stadium for the game against the Beavers.
The Broncos' last home day game was the 2019 MW Championship Game against Hawai'i, Dec. 7, 2019, a game Boise State won, 31-10.
CONFERENCE WIN STREAK
The Broncos have recorded 13-straight conference victories, the second-longest streak in the country. Only Ohio State (19) has a longer winning streak against conference opponents.
Boise State also enters Saturday's game against SJSU on an 18-game regular-season winning streak in Mountain West play. That figure now ranks tied for second in Mountain West history with BYU's run of 18 in a row from 2006-08. TCU owns the longest regular-season Mountain West winning streak, at 24 (2008-11).
THE SERIES
Since the first meeting between Boise State and San Jose State – a nonconference tilt in Boise, Oct. 14, 1978 – the Broncos have yet to lose to the Spartans. Following the initial meeting, Boise State went 10-0 against SJSU when the schools were members of the Western Athletic Conference, and the Broncos are 3-0 against the Spartans as members of the Mountain West.
