Women's Swimming & Diving 3/12/2020 10:58:00 PM Courtesy: Boise State Athletics Hogg Takes Third in 50-Yard Backstroke to Lead Boise State at NIC Broncos record third-straight top-10 finish at the CSCAA National Invitational Championships. CLEVELAND, Ohio - Boise State junior Molly Hogg placed-third in the 50-yard backstroke to lead Boise State at the CSCAA National Invitational Championships (NIC). Hogg is one of seven Broncos who were in Cleveland for the NIC this week which was canceled following Thursday night's finals. Boise State finished the meet in seventh-place with 159 points giving the Broncos their third-straight top-10 finish out over 50 teams that were at the meet. Hogg began the day swimming a 25.49 in the morning preliminaries of the 50 backstroke to place seventh. She then clocked a career-best in the finals with a 25.27 to finish third. Sophomore Madesyn Ronquillio competed in the 50 back as well recording a 26.02 in the B final to place 13th overall. Beatriz Zoppei placed 15th overall in the 50-yard butterfly turning in a 25.14 after a 25.11 in the morning prelims. Boise State also scored in two relays on the day, the first was the 200-yard freestyle relay where Hogg, Ronquillio, Zoppei and Delaney Phillips placed 19th with a time of 1:35.62. The Broncos fared better in the 400-yard medley relay featuring Ronquillio, Carly Palmer, Zoppei and Emma Brady who clocked a 3:43.71 to place eighth.
