SIUE RECAP
It was a pitching duel most of the way as neither team managed much offense in a 3-2 win for the SIUE Cougars.ÂBoise State opened the scoring in the top of the third when Bella Rocco was brought home on a bases loaded walk. SIUE wasted little time in striking back with two runs in the bottom of the third to take the advantage.Â
Emily Alandt entered in the sixth inning as a pinch runner for Bella Rocco. She promptly stole second base, then came home when Huchingson singled up the middle to tie the game.Â
Unfortunately, the Cougars struck back in their half of the sixth inning to regain the lead, an advantage they held onto.Â
