
Three Broncos Named All-Mountain West

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – A trio of Boise State student-athletes were placed on the 2020 All-Mountain West Baseball Team the conference announced, Thursday.
Earning the honors were redshirt-freshman pitcher Wesley Harper, redshirt-senior outfielder Michael Hicks and freshman infielder Torin Montgomery.
Harper led the Broncos with six appearances, all out of the bullpen. He earned two saves while holding opponents to a .186 batting average against, second in the Mountain West, and posting a 1.76 ERA, third in the conference.
Hicks started all 14 games while serving as Boise State's primary left fielder. He batted .386 with 11 RBI, one home run and eight doubles. He led the Broncos in doubles, RBI, hits (22) and extra-base hits (nine). His 0.57 doubles per game ranked seventh nationally.
Montgomery batted .308 with three doubles, two triples and three home runs. He started 13 games, playing both corner infield positions. His .615 slugging percentage was tops on the team, as were his triples and home runs.
Due to the shortened 2020 season, each Mountain West school garnered three spots on this year's all-conference squad.
