Broncos Place Seventh in Washington

TACOMA, Wash. – The Boise State women's golf team finished seventh in a field of 20 teams at the Pat Lesser-Harbottle Seattle U Invitational, Tuesday.

Senior Elena Castanon led the team, recording her first top-10 finish as a Bronco. She tied for eighth, carding rounds of 75-73-74 (+6).

Fifth-year senior Lexi Perry tied for 21st, shooting 79-71-76 (+10).

Fellow fifth-year senior Nicole Suppelsa, competing as an individual, notched the best finish of her career, finishing tied for fifth (76-74-70, +4). This marks her third-career top-10 finish and seventh-career top-25 finish. Additionally, Suppelsa's third-round 70 (-2) tied her career-low round, which she first fired in 2018 at the Rose City Collegiate.

Rounding out Boise State's scoring were sophomores Franca Polla (76-79-76, +15), Hyeji (Emma) Yang (78-75-78, +15) and Elli Gordon (80, 77, 80, +21).

Next, the Broncos travel to Fort Collins, Colo., for the Ptarmigan Ram Classic Oct. 18-19. This will be the team's final tournament of the fall.
