ABOUT ST. BONAVENTURE: The Bonnies began this season ranked in the preseason top 25 and after a 2-0 start have moved up to No. 22 in the Associated Press Poll. Their appearance in the national rankings is St. Bonaventure's first since 1971. The Bonnies are led by two-time All-Atlantic 10 guard Kyle Lofton. Through two games this year, Lofton is averaging 17 points and five assists per game.

SERIES HISTORY: Boise State owns a 1-0 advantage in the all-time series. The Broncos defeated St. Bonaventure in the semifinal of the 2018 Cayman Islands Classic. Three of the Bonnies' projected starters Thursday were on their roster in 2018, including Kyle Lofton who started and scored 20 points against Boise State. The only current Bronco who was on the roster that season is Max Rice, who redshirted.

GETTING IT DONE ON DEFENSE: Boise State has held its first two opponents to fewer than 60 points. It is the first time the Broncos have opened a season with consecutive games holding their opponent under 60 since 2011-12 (Colorado Christian and Utah). It is the first time Boise State has held its first two Division I opponents to fewer than 60 points since 1987-88 (Idaho State and Saint Mary's).

AGAINST THE FIELD: The Broncos are 2-1 all-time against the other schools participating in the Charleston Classic, beating Elon (2004) and St. Bonaventure (2018). The lone loss came at Marquette in the 2004 National Invitation Tournament. Boise State has never faced Clemson, Ole Miss, Temple or West Virginia in men's basketball. The Broncos' second-round opponent will be either Clemson or Temple.
