BOISE, Idaho – For the second time this season, Boise State sophomore Jonah Dalmas has been named a Lou Groza Award "Star of the Week." The honor follows his perfect kicking performance in Saturday's dominant victory over 25th-ranked Fresno State.
College football's top kicking award, the Palm Beach County Sports Commission Lou Groza Collegiate Place-Kicker Award presented by the Orange Bowl recognizes three top kickers each week from FBS division teams as the "Stars of the Week."
Dalmas was 4-for-4 on field goal attempts in the Broncos' 40-14 victory over the Bulldogs (Nov. 6), including connecting on a season-long 47-yard field goal.
The Lou Groza Award semifinalist also made two 27-yard field goals, a 32-yard attempt and four PAT, accumulating 16 points for the Blue and Orange.
Dalmas has now made 11-straight field goals, tied for the fourth-longest active streak nationally. He is tied for third nationally in field goals per game (2.11) in 2021 and is tied for 18th nationally in scoring (9.8 points per game).
His career field goal percentage of .905 (19-for-21) this season ranks 16th nationally and his career field goal percentage of .897 (26-of-29) ranks second nationally amongst active kickers.
Dalmas first earned "Star of the Week" honors after going 4-for-4 on field goals and contributing 18 points to Boise State's 54-13 win over UTEP.
Next, Boise State (5-4, 3-2 MW) returns to The Blue to face Wyoming (5-4, 1-4 MW) Friday at 7 p.m. MT on FS1.
