Broncos Announce 2022 Softball Schedule

BOISE, Idaho – Six postseason participants from last season and 14 home games highlight the 2022 Boise State softball schedule, first-year head coach Justin Shults announced, Friday.
The Broncos will play at 2021 Women's College World Series qualifier Arizona (March 6), face regional finalist Stanford (Feb. 12 in San Diego, Calif.) and Iowa State (March 4 in Tucson, Ariz.) and take on regional participants Texas State (March 5 in Tucson, Ariz.) and McNeese State (three-game road series, March 11-12) in nonconference play. Defending Mountain West champion Fresno State visits Dona Larsen Park for a three-game series (March 18-20) to open Boise State's home and conference slate.
Prior to entertaining the Bulldogs, the Broncos will begin their season at UC Riverside (Feb. 10). Four tournaments follow, San Diego State (Feb. 11-12), Incarnate Word (Feb. 18-20), UC Santa Barbara (Feb. 25-27) and Arizona (March 4-6). A doubleheader at Houston (March 10) kick offs a five-game road trip leading into conference action.
Nonconference games scheduled after MW play begins include at UC Davis (March 23) and a doubleheader at home against Idaho State (April 12).
In addition to Fresno State, the Broncos host UNLV (April 1-3), San Jose State (April 22-24) and New Mexico (May 6-8) for conference series. Road trips in the MW will take Boise State to Nevada (March 25-27), San Diego State (April 14-16), Utah State (April 29-May 1) and Colorado State (May 12-14).
