
Loville's Record-Setting Day Leads Broncos to Win in Las Vegas

LAS VEGAS – Jade Loville scored a Boise State record 40 points and the Broncos rolled past UNLV 85-59, Wednesday.
Loville was on her game from the start as she connected on her first-four shots to stake Boise State (10-6, 7-6 Mountain West) to an 8-2 lead. She finished the first quarter with 14 points on 7-for-10 shooting and Boise State led 22-10.
The Broncos increased their lead to 45-23 at intermission. Loville added 10 points in the second quarter and single-handedly outscored UNLV (10-8, 8-5) in the opening half. Her 24 points in a half tied the Broncos' school record.
Boise State upped its advantage to 69-37 after three quarters with Loville tacking on a dozen points in the third period.
Loville's record-breaking field goal came with 5:49 remaining in the game, and she was replaced 11 seconds later. Her 40 points tied for sixth in Mountain West history and tied for third in a Mountain West conference game.
Alexis Mark added her first-career double-double with 12 points and a season/career-high 14 rebounds. Mallory McGwire pulled down 11 boards and the Broncos held a 52-33 edge on the glass.
Mary Kay Naro registered a season/career-high 11 assists. Boise State shot 51 percent from the floor and held UNLV to 30 percent.
The teams will meet again, Thursday at 3 p.m. MT/2 p.m. Pacific.
