
Broncos Steamroll Aztecs

BOISE, Idaho – Four players scored in double figures and Boise State dominated San Diego State 85-44 in women's basketball, Sunday.
The 41-point margin of victory is Boise State's largest in a Mountain West game and the widest in a conference game since the Broncos (13-8, 10-8 MW) defeated Utah State 80-38, Jan. 24, 2007 in a Western Athletic Conference contest.
After spotting the Aztecs (7-16, 5-12) two points to start the game, Boise State outscored San Diego State 16-4 to lead by 10 at the quarter break. Six different Broncos scored in the opening stanza.
By halftime, eight Broncos had put their name in the scorebook and Boise State led 36-21 at the break.
The Broncos scored 26 points in the third quarter and allowed just one field goal in the fourth quarter while outscoring the Aztecs 23-4.
Jade Loville led Boise State with 21 points. Mallory McGwire, playing her final home game for the Blue and Orange, added 18 points, seven rebounds, three steals and two blocks. Alexis Mark tallied 14 points and Kimora Sykes chipped in 11 off the bench. Abby Muse pulled down a game-high 12 rebounds and Mary Kary Naro notched six assists.
The Broncos are assured a first round bye in the Mountain West Championship. Boise State will play Monday, March 8 in Las Vegas at a time and against an opponent yet to be determined.
