Broncos Advance in Mountain West Championship

LAS VEGAS – Jade Loville poured in a game-high 29 points and Boise State upset Colorado State 78-65 in a quarterfinal of the Mountain West Championship at Thomas & Mack Center, Monday.
 
Loville's 12 field goals tied a tournament record. She is averaging 22.7 points per game over her last-seven contests.
 
Freshman Alexis Mark added 11 points and 13 boards for her third double-double of the season. It was her fifth double-digit rebound game of the year, all coming in her last-seven outings.
 
With the victory, the sixth-seeded Broncos (14-8) avenged a pair of regular season round robin losses to the second-seeded Rams (15-6). Boise State will face Wyoming (12-9) in Tuesday's second semifinal.
 
The seventh-seeded Cowgirls set a tournament record with 15 treys in knocking off tournament-host UNLV, Monday. The other semifinal will feature regular season champion New Mexico and fourth-seeded Fresno State.
 
Anna Ostlie added 11 points and six rebounds off the bench for the Broncos, who won their Mountain West record 13th-straight conference tournament game.
