STACKING TOP 25 WINS
Boise State has five wins over top-25 opponents this season, earning victories over No. 13 Oregon State (Jan. 15), No. 14 BYU (Jan. 23) and No. 16 Southern Utah (Feb. 27), and a pair of wins over Utah State – at home, Feb. 6 (No. 23) and on the road, Feb. 13 (No. 21).
WEEKLY HONORS
Senior Emily Muhlenhaupt has already registered three MRGC Bars Specialist of the Week honors in 2021, while redshirt senior Maddi Nilson has a pair of MRGC Floor Specialist of the Week accolades thus far this season. Senior Gabriela Cavinta (bars) and sophomore Adriana Popp (floor) each picked up MRGC honors this past week following their performances in the Broncos' win over Southern Utah (Feb. 27).
ROAD TO 10.0
Senior Emily Muhlenhaupt became the third gymnast in Boise State history to record a 9.975 on bars, Feb. 1, 2019. She did it again twice during the 2020 season, and has one such score in 2021. Additionally, she scored a 9.950 in each of her first two routines this season. If she is able to notch a 10.0, it will be the first such score on bars in school history, and just the fifth on any apparatus all-time. Most recently, Ciera Perkins registered a 10.0 on vault, Jan. 30, 2015. It was the third perfect vault in school history, a mark also achieved by Julie Wagner (March 20, 1993) and Leslie Mott (March 23, 1996). On beam, Marie Lucas registered a 10.0, Feb. 27, 2002.
WHAT'S NEXT?
Boise State will close the regular season next week in a dual against another Pac-12 opponent. Arizona State, currently ranked No. 7 in Road to Nationals, will travel to Boise for a match-up on March 12 (Saturday). The Broncos and Sun Devils are slated to begin their meet at 7 p.m.
