Bronco Alum Andrade to Represent Cape Verde at Tokyo Olympics

BOISE, Idaho – Former Boise State track and field standout Jordin Andrade has been selected to represent Cape Verde at the Tokyo Olympics in the 400m hurdles. The selection marks his second career Olympic berth.
At the 2016 Rio Olympics, Andrade became Cape Verde's first Olympic semifinalist, placing 16th overall in the 400m hurdles.
Andrade was a five-time Mountain West Conference champion during his tenure with the Broncos. He earned runner-up honors at the 2015 NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships in the 400m hurdles with a time of 49.24, setting the school record and becoming the first Bronco to break the 50-second barrier.
