Boise State's Outdoor Season Concludes at Nationals

EUGENE, Ore. - Four Broncos earned Honorable-Mention All-America honors as Boise State Track and Field concluded its season on Thursday at the 2026 NCAA Division I Outdoor Track and Field National Championships.

Kaiya Robertson (1500 meters) and Raekwon Weatherspoon (long jump) finished in 17th place in their respective events, while Abby Kendrick and Emily Jobes finished 21st and 23rd, respectively, in the 3000 meter steeplechase.

Weatherspoon recorded a leap of 24'4.25/7.43 meters on Wednesday, finishing 17th overall. He narrowly missed out on second-team All-America honors, finishing .02 meters behind Louisville's Roman Kuleshov, who recorded a 24'5/50/7.45 meter jump.

Robertson earned honorable-mention status for the second consecutive season, finishing 17th in the 1500 meter race with a time of 4:11.81. She also barely missed the mark for second-team status, finishing .6 seconds behind Liberty's Allie Zealand.  Robertson improved upon her performance at nationals last season, when she finished in 22nd place with a time of 4:15.31.

Abby Kendrick earned her honorable-mention recognition by finishing 21st in the 3000 meter steeplechase with a time of 10:12.40. Jobes earned the distinction with a time of 10:23.56 and a 23rd place finish in the same event.

Additionally, Robertson was awarded the NCAA's Elite Scholar-Athlete Award, given to the student-athlete with the highest cumulative GPA at the finals site for each of the NCAA's championships.

Notables
- Boise State earned four Honorable-Mention All-America nods, the most between both programs since 2019.
- Kaiya Robertson earned an honorable-mention distinction for the second consecutive season. She is the first Bronco to do so in back-to-back seasons since Kristie Schoffield did so in the 800 meter race in 2021 and 2022.
- Robertson is the first Bronco to earn honorable-mention honors in the 1500 meter race in two-straight seasons since Alexis Fuller did so in 2018 and 2019. Her 17th-place finish is the highest a Bronco has notched in the 1500 meter race at nationals since Fuller also finished 17th in 2018.
- Emily Jobes, Abby Kendrick and Raekwon Weatherspoon earned honorable-mention recognition for the first time in their careers.
- Weatherspoon's 17th place finish in the long jump is the highest finish by a Bronco in the event since Ryan Grinnell finished 11th in 2008.
- The Broncos had a member of their men's program compete at nationals in back-to-back seasons for the first time since 2015-16. Landon Helms placed ninth in the decathlon a year ago.
- Robertson earned the NCAA's Elite Scholar-Athlete Award, marking the third time a Bronco, across all sports, has received the distinction. Allie Ostrander earned the honor in back-to-back years, winning at the 2017 NCAA Cross Country National Championships and again at the 2019 NCAA Division I Indoor Track & Field National Championships.
