Women’s Track and Field Adds Six Sprinters/Jumpers

BOISE, Idaho – Boise State women's track and field welcomes six student-athletes specializing in sprints and jumps to the squad for the 2021-22 season.
Cheyenne Cheshier (Long Jump – 5.44m | Triple Jump – 11.92m)
Cheshier comes to Boise State from Colorado after earning her bachelor's in integrative physiology. The Valencia, Calif., native ranks fifth and sixth in school history in the outdoor and indoor triple jump, respectively. During the 2019 outdoor season, Cheshier notched a personal best in the long jump of 17-feet, 10 1/4 inches (5.44m) and followed it up with a personal best in the triple jump at the Pac-12 Championships, jumping 39-10 1/4 (11.92m) to claim ninth overall.
Alyssa Cullen (100m – 12.06 | 200m – 24.91 | Triple Jump – 38' 8")
Cullen joins the Broncos from Poulsbo, Wash., where she was the 2021 KHSAP Sun Female Athlete of the Year, three-time NKHS MVP and a member of the 2019 state champion 4x200m relay. In 2021, Cullen ranked in the state's top five in three of her events, ranking second in the triple jump, third in 100m and fourth in the 200m.
Alison Kremer (100m – 13.02 | 200m – 26.00 | High Jump – 5' 8")
Kremer joins the track and field team after spending her freshman year as a member of the Boise State soccer team. The Sammamish, Wash., native is a two-time state champion, once in soccer and once in track and field. Kremer was the 2019 4A State Champion in high jump, recording a mark of 5-8.
Maggie Larson (Long Jump – 19' 1.5" | Triple Jump – 40' 10.5")
Larson is a two-time state champion in the triple jump (2019 and 2021) and two-time state runner-up in the triple jump (2018) and the long jump (2021). The Maple Lake, Minn., native is a four-time all-state triple jumper and was named the 2021 conference athlete of the year.
Emily Stefan (100m – 12.37 | 200m – 25.88 | Long Jump – 17' 9")
Stefan comes to Boise State from Albany, Ore., where she was named the Most Outstanding Track Athlete of the Year for her freshman season performance. During her senior year, Stefan ranked first in the state in 5A in all three of her events, the 100m, 200m and long jump. She concluded her high school career as the recipient of the Girls Track and Field Trinity Trophy.
Rebecca Vander Poel (200m – 24.95 | 400m – 55.80 | 800m – 2:16.46)
Vander Poel notched a first-place finish in the 600m at the California Winter State Championships, clocking a time of 1:35.68. The Bakersfield, Calif., native comes to Boise State with six school records to her name, including the 200m and 400m, and was crowned Liberty High School's Sprint MVP.
