ABOUT NEW MEXICO: The Lobos are 7-9 under first-year head coach Richard Pitino, including a 0-3 start in Mountain West play. New Mexico is led by its high-scoring backcourt duo of Jamal Mashburn, Jr. and Jaelen House. Mashburn (18.5) and House (15.5) combine for 34 points per game to pace an offense that averages 77.9 points per outing on 42.6 percent field goal shooting and 8.2 three-pointers per game at a 33.7 percent clip.

SERIES HISTORY: New Mexico leads the all-time series 12-8. The Broncos have won five of the last seven meetings, including a series sweep last season. Boise State is 2-7 all-time on the road in the series.

SCHEDULE SHUFFLE: Boise State and New Mexico are only scheduled to play once this season. The game was originally slated for Feb. 8, but was moved up to Saturday when the Lobos' home game against San Diego State was postponed Tuesday. The Broncos were originally set to be off this weekend. Boise State has had three conference games postponed this month. A road game at Utah State, originally scheduled for Jan. 4, has been rescheduled for Jan. 20. The Mountain West will still look to reschedule Boise State's road game at Wyoming and home game against Colorado State.

IN RHYTHM: Boise State scored 85 points Wednesday, in its road win against Nevada, the Broncos' second-most points against a Division I opponent this season. They shot 50 percent from the floor against the Wolf Pack. Boise State has shot at least 50 percent from the field six times during its current eight-game win streak.

EIGHT STRAIGHT: Boise State enters the weekend riding an eight-game win streak, during which it is outscoring the opposition by 17.8 points per game. It is the Broncos' sixth win streak of at least eight games in Leon Rice's 12 seasons as head coach. Boise State is shooting 49.4 percent from the floor and 39.9 percent from three-point range during the stretch.

ON THE ROAD: Boise State has won 37 Mountain West road games since joining the league prior to the 2011-12 season, tied for the second most in the league over that span. Since the conference reached its current membership in 2013-14, the Broncos have won at least three Mountain West road games every year. Only Fresno State and San Diego State can make the same claim.
