BOISE, Idaho – Boise State Women's Soccer Head Coach Jim Thomas has announced the signing of Chloe Yates to the class of 2022.

"We pride ourselves at Boise State soccer in being able to add quality people with quality ability from quality clubs," said Thomas. That is Chloe Yates.  She'll bring a grit and determination to an already stacked midfield core by embodying the blue-collar work ethic that has lifted Boise State to be one of the top schools in the country. Chloe has a tremendous ability to facilitate at the lower levels and influence the goal in the final third, giving her all the attributes of a complete midfielder."

Yates is a midfielder from San Diego, Calif., where she played on the varsity team at Carlsbad High School for two seasons. She played for the San Diego Surf ECNL club team, helping lead it to the ECNL playoffs in 2021 and a Surf Cup Championship in 2018.

She is a two-time invitee to the United States Youth National Team Identification Center that brings together the top talent in California to try out for the youth national team.

Yates joins five other recruits as members of the Broncos' 2022 recruiting class and is one of two from the state of California alongside Teryn Newkirk (Cypress).
