BOISE, Idaho – Boise State soccer has announced another commitment for the class of 2022 in the form of Tessa French, a forward from Lake Oswego, Ore.

"Tess is a fantastically skillful player with the attributes to fit in at multiple positions at the Division I level," said head coach Jim Thomas. "We are so excited for the prowess she offers us in front of goal but also see such potential for her in wide positions that will enable her to impact our squad at a very early age.  Tess is a Bronco through and through. Her grit and self belief make her a threat on the field and a person that will help our culture revolves off field"

French played for Lakeridge High School where she was her team's leading scorer  three out of her four varsity seasons. The forward led the Pacers to the Oregon 6A state playoffs four-straight seasons. She played club soccer for Northwest Elite ECNL, making it to the ECNL Nationals, Champions League Playoffs four times (2017-19, 2021). Additionally, French is a three-time invitee to the US Youth Soccer ODP National Training Camp (2019-21).

Tessa is the younger sister of Lillie French, who spent two seasons with Boise State and started in 20 matches during the Broncos' 2019 run to their first MW Championship.

French joins a Boise State recruiting class that now features seven student-athletes.
