Colorado Springs, Colo. – Boise State women's soccer student-athlete Jocelyn Stephens was named the Mountain West Defensive Player of the Week, the league announced Monday afternoon.

Stephens earns her second-defensive honor of the season after playing 180 minutes in the Broncos' two conference matches this past weekend. The center back anchored a defense that allowed just four shots on goal in back-to-back shutouts. The defensive effort laid the foundation for the Broncos to go undefeated on the weekend (1-0-1), picking up four points in the MW table.

Boise State is currently in the midst of a six-match shutout streak, the most consecutive clean sheets in a single season in program history. The Bronco defense has yet to allow a goal to a MW opponent this season.

Up next for Boise State is a pair of MW matches at home. The Broncos host Air Force Thursday (Oct. 6) at 4 p.m. MT before playing Colorado College Sunday (Oct. 9) at noon.
