Broncos Drop First Game of South Padre Island Classic

South Padre Island, Texas – UTRGV defeated Boise State 72-60, Monday, in the Bronco's first game of the South Padre Island Classic.
Trailing 33-26 at the half, Anna Ostlie scored five straight points in the first minute of the second half to cut the lead to two. The Vaqueros (6-4) responded with its own 8-0 run to take a 41-31 lead. UTRGV went on to score 25 points in the quarter to take a 58-46 lead.
Natalie Pasco had the hot hand in the fourth quarter, scoring six straight points for the Broncos (4-8). The team pulled within seven off a Dani Bayes 3-pointer with two minutes remaining, but the Vaqueros outscored the Broncos 6-1 in the final two minutes to secure the victory.

- Natalie Pasco led the team in scoring with 11 points. The freshman shot 4-of-6 from the field, including 2-of-4 from behind the arc.
