Broncos Top Lions to Close Nonconference Slate

SOUTH PADRE ISLAND, Texas – Four players scored in double figures as Boise State defeated Texas A&M University-Commerce 75-66, Tuesday, in the final game of the South Padre Island Classic.
Natalie Pasco caught fire early for the Broncos (5-8), hitting three triples in the first quarter alone to propel the team to a 22-13 lead. Pasco and fellow freshman Dani Bayes continued the hot streak, combining for over half the team's points in the quarter as Boise State took a 39-25 lead into halftime
Elodie Lalotte scored the first six Bronco points of the second half to extend the team's lead to 18. The Lions (2-9) responded with a 13-2 run to cut the Bronco lead to seven. Boise State didn't break, extending the lead to 14 with just under six minutes remaining in the game.
TAMUC wouldn't go away, going on a 11-1 run to cut the lead to 67-63 with 3:34 left in the game. Mya Hansen hit a corner 3-pointer to extend the lead to seven, and the Bronco defense gave up only three more points over the remainder of the game to secure the win.
