COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Natalie Pasco was named the Mountain West Freshman of the Week for the second time this season, the conference announced, Monday.

Pasco was the team's leading scorer in both games of the South Padre Island Classic last week. The Danville, Calif. native scored 11 points against UTRGV, shooting 4-of-7 from the field and 2-of-4 from long range. The freshman followed up with 18 points to lead the Broncos to victory against Texas A&M University-Commerce, shooting 6-of-11 from the field and hitting 4-of-7 from beyond the arc. Between the two games, she shot 55.6% (10-of-18) from the field and 54.5% from three-point range (6-of-11).

Coming off the bench in all 13 games on the season, Pasco has scored in double figures seven times, including in each of the last three games. She has also led the team in scoring in four games on the year.

The recognition marks the second time this season Pasco has earned MW recognition and the third time a Bronco was named the MW Freshman of the Week. Pasco previously won the award on Nov. 21, while teammate Mya Hansen took home the honor on Dec. 5.

The Broncos (5-8) will open conference play at home against San Diego State on Dec. 29. The game will tip off at 6:30 p.m. MT in ExtraMile Arena.
