Voigt Adds Five Prep Standouts to Program

BOISE, Idaho – Boise State beach volleyball head coach Allison Voigt announced the addition of five players to its program, Friday. Avery Bowidowicz, Nora Hayd, Addison Wolden, Mya Jackson and Summer McCann will join the Broncos for the 2023-24 season.
"We are very excited to add these five to our beach volleyball program," Voigt said. "They are going to bring a lot of experience and some height that we need. They are going to make an immediate impact which we're looking forward to. Not only are they good beach volleyball players but they are really good people on and off the court. They're going to do a great job here at Boise State and succeed at all aspects of what a collegiate student-athlete should be."
Avery Bowidowicz

Avery Bowidowicz is a split blocker from Carlsbad, Calif. As a junior at Classical Academy High School, Bowidowicz and her partner went 9-0 on the season, leading the Caimans to a second-place finish at the California Interscholastic Federation Finals. She played club volleyball for Tamarack Beach Volleyball, where she won the U18 California Cup Championship with partner Mya Jackson, who will also join the Broncos (see below). Bowidowicz also won the U18 Association of Volleyball Professionals Tournament for a bid to the AVP American Nationals in 2021. Bowidowicz plans to study environmental sciences at Boise State.
Nora Hayd

Nora Hayd joins the program from Bothell, Wash. A blocker, Hayd was named to both the 2020 and 2021 AVCA Phenom List. She played for DaKine Volleyball Club, where she and her partner placed third at the Season U16 Open and second at the Seaside Quads. She also led her team to a second-place finish at USAV Nationals.
Addison Wolden

Addison Wolden is a split blocker from Denver South High School in Denver, Colo. Wolden played club volleyball for The Lab, where she won the Women's AA Beach Bash and finished second at the BVNE 18U Showcase. She played four seasons of indoor volleyball for the Ravens and was named the 5A Player of the Year of the Denver Public Schools City League and All-State as a senior. Wolden was a decorated multi-sport athlete, playing basketball, soccer and cross country in high school. She plans to study biology at Boise State.
Mya Jackson

Mya Jackson is currently a senior at Murrieta Valley High School in Murrieta, Calif. Jackson played club ball for Tamarack Beach Volleyball with Avery Bowidowicz and received a bronze medal at the BVCA National Championship in 2022. A member of her high school's indoor volleyball team, Jackson was named 1st Team All-League as a junior. A three-year member on the All-Scholastic team and a member of the National Society of High School Honors, Jackson plans to study environmental studies at Boise State.
Summer McCann

McCann joins the program from Scottsdale, Arizona. A member of the Xavier College Preparatory beach volleyball team, McCann was named the 2022 Region Player of the Year. She currently has a 29-3 individual record and has won back to back Pairs Championships. McCann played club for Volley4Life, where she finished third at 2020 AAU Nationals and the 2020 AVP Nationals. McCann plans to study business at Boise State.
