PHOENIX – The Boise State women's golf team, led by sophomore Elli Gordon and freshman Hannah Lim, registered a 12th-place finish in a field of 20 teams at the GCU Invitational, Tuesday.

"Every round of golf provides us with an opportunity to grow as a team," head coach Kailin Downs said. "We will learn from this tournament and move forward, capitalizing on what we're doing well while improving upon our shortcomings."

Gordon was the Broncos' top finisher, tying for 34th and carding rounds of 73-75-77 (+9).

During her first collegiate 54-hole tournament, Lim fired a 71 (-1) in the first 18 holes of competition, the lowest single-round score of the invitational among Broncos.

Lim finished just behind Gordon shooting 10-over par en route to tying for 40th.

"I am very proud of Hannah in her first collegiate 54-hole tournament," Downs said. "She has steadily improved since stepping on campus, and I am excited to see what she is capable of."

Rounding out Bose State's scoring were fifth-year seniors Nicole Suppelsa (76-76-78, +14) and Lexi Perry (78-78-75, +15) and sophomore Franca Polla (75-82-74, +15).

Next, the Broncos will enjoy a couple of weeks off before traveling to Fresno, Calif. for the Fresno State Classic, March 21-22.
