ABOUT NEVADA: Nevada entered the tournament as the eighth seed after a 6-12 season in league play. The Wolf Pack are led by a pair of All-MW Third Team guards in Grant Sherfield (18.9 points, 6.4 assists) and Desmond Cambridge, Jr. (16.2 points).

SERIES HISTORY: Nevada leads the all-time series 51-30. Boise State defeated the Wolf Pack twice in the regular season to earn its first sweep of Nevada since the 2016 season. The series with Nevada goes back to 1980 when both schools were members of the Big Sky Conference, and the Broncos have swept the regular-season series with the Wolf Pack just six times previously (1980, 1988, 1989, 1999, 2008, 2016).

COACH OF THE YEAR: Boise State head coach Leon Rice was named the Mountain West Coach of the Year when the conference announced its postseason awards Tuesday. Rice became the second coach in program history to win multiple conference COY awards (2015, 2022), joining Bobby Dye who won three Big Sky COY awards (1987, 1988, 1993).

MW AWARDS: Tyson Degenhart was named the league's Freshman of the Year, the first Bronco to win conference freshman of the year since Anthony Thomas in 2007 (WAC). Abu Kigab and Marcus Shaver, Jr. were named All-MW Second Team, while Emmanuel Akot and Degenhart collected honorable mention honors. This marked the first time in MW history that a team has won the regular-season conference championship outright without having a player named to the all-conference first team.
