BOISE, Idaho – Sadraque Nganga, rated one of the top 100 recruits in the country, has signed a valid National Letter of Intent to play basketball for Boise State, head coach Leon Rice announced Wednesday.
"We are thrilled to have Sadraque join our basketball family," said Rice. "Sada is a very talented young man with unlimited potential and a tremendous amount of upside. We look forward to helping him fulfill his potential as both a player and a person. Bronco Nation, please help us welcome this young man to Boise!"
Ranked in the top 100 by both 247Sports (76th) and ESPN (86th), Nganga is the highest-rated recruit in program history to sign with the Broncos. The 6-foot-10 forward out of AZ Compass Prep in Phoenix is rated as a four-star recruit by both recruiting services.
A native of Angola, Nganga was previously ranked as one of the top 20 recruits according to 247Sports before missing his junior season due to injury. The forward held offers from multiple schools prior to choosing Boise State, including Arizona, Auburn, Kentucky and UCLA. At just 15 years old he received offers from programs including Arizona, Arizona State, Maryland and Oklahoma.
Nganga joins a Boise State team coming off its most successful season in school history. The Broncos won a program-record 27 games and claimed both the Mountain West regular-season and tournament championships before earning a No. 8 seed in the NCAA Tournament, the highest seed in school history.
Fans can currently place deposits on season tickets for the Broncos' 2022-23 season. New and returning season ticket holders can secure their seats today by calling the Boise State Athletic Ticket Office at (208) 426-4737 or by logging on to broncosports.com/tickets.
