Incoming Freshman Wins Junior Tournament

LAUREL, Mont. – Boise State women's golf incoming freshman Macee Greenwood captured medalist honors at the 2022 Montana State Junior Championships, Tuesday.
Greenwood competed in the girls 16-18 flight, carding consecutive rounds of 77 to finish 10-over en route to qualifying for both the IMG Academy Junior World Championships and Girls Junior Americas Cup. Her two-round total of 154 cleared the competition by 10 strokes.
A native of Corvallis, Mont., Greenwood topped the podium at the 2020 Montana Class A High School Championships, besting her competition by seven strokes. She finished runner-up her freshman and sophomore season and notched her third silver medal at the state tournament as a senior.
Greenwood will compete at the Junior World Championships along with fellow incoming Bronco Leia Chung. The tournament is slated for July 12-15 at the Torrey Pines Golf Course in San Diego, Calif.
The dates for the Girls Junior Americas Cup matches are to be determined the week following the U.S. Girls Junior Championships.
