Holani Tabbed to Second Watch List

BOISE, Idaho – Boise State running back George Holani was named to the Doak Walker Award Watch List, it was announced Wednesday.
The award is presented annually to the nation's best college running back based on his accomplishments on the field, in the community and in the classroom.
Holani started seven of the nine games in which he appeared during the 2021 season, leading the team with 569 yards rushing. He added 169 yards receiving on 14 receptions. Additionally, the Bellflower, Calif., native surpassed 100 yards rushing in three-straight games last season.
The Doak Walker Award Watch List is Holani's second preseason watch list nod this season. He is also a candidate for the Maxwell Award.
