BOISE, Idaho – Boise State women's soccer has announced its 2022 season schedule featuring 11 home matches. The 20-match regular-season slate matches the largest schedule in program history.
The Broncos kick off the season with a three-match homestand, beginning with a visit from Utah Valley (Aug. 18). The following week Boise State plays host to Arizona State (Aug. 25) and UC Riverside (Aug. 28). The Sun Devils' trip to Boise is the first time the Broncos have hosted a power-five opponent since the 2019 season.
A PAC-12 roadtrip follows as Boise State travels to play Oregon State (Sept. 1) and Oregon (Sept. 4). This marks the third time under head coach Jim Thomas the Broncos have scheduled matches against three or more power-five opponents.
The roadtrip continues with trips to UC Davis (Sept. 8) and CSU Bakersfield (Sept. 11), before returning home for contests against Montana (Sept. 15) and Eastern Washington (Sept. 18) to round out nonconference play.
The first Mountain West matches of the season for Boise State will be played at Boas Soccer Complex as UNLV (Sept. 22) and Nevada (Sept. 25) come to town. The first conference road trip of the season takes the Broncos to Colorado State (Sept. 29) and Wyoming (Oct. 2).
Boise State then welcomes Air Force (Oct. 6) and Colorado College (Oct. 9) before embarking on another trip to California to visit rivals Fresno State (Oct. 13) and San Jose State (Oct. 16).
The Broncos then return home to host two of the top-three seeds in last season's MW Championship in New Mexico (Oct. 20) and San Diego State (Oct. 23) before closing out the regular season at Utah State (Oct. 27). The match against the Lobos will mark Thomas' 200th game as the leader of the Blue and Orange.
The MW Championship tournament is set to be played in Albuquerque, N.M., with dates and times being announced at a later date. The Broncos have made an appearance in each of the last five conference tournaments, and played in the championship match in the last two.
