Trainor Announces 2022-23 Schedule

Broncos entering first season under Trainor

BOISE, Idaho – Boise State men's golf has announced its 2022-23 schedule, head coach David Trainor announced on Thursday, entering his first season at the helm of the Broncos.

This season will see Boise State sent to seven states, culminating with the first stage of the postseason – the 2023 Mountain West Men's Golf Championships, April 28-30, in Tucson, Ariz.

The Broncos will hit the course for the first time at the Washington Husky Invitational, Sept. 19-20. The fall season also features two trips to Colorado for the Mark Simpson Colorado Invitational, Oct. 3-4, and the TPC Colorado Invitational, Oct. 17-19, in Boulder and Denver, respectively. The program will also travel to Corvallis, Ore., for the Oregon State Invitational, Oct. 10-11.

A trip to the Hawaii concludes the fall season at the Ka'anapali Classic, Oct. 28-30.

Boise State returns to the course for in February to begin a six-tournament spring season – beginning with the Wyoming World Match Play, Feb. 10-11, in Palm Desert, Calif. The Broncos make back-to-back trips to Oregon for the Bandon Dunes Collegiate, March 12-14, and the Oregon Duck Invitational, March 27-28, in Bandon and Eugene, respectively.

April opens with a trip to Chambers Bay Golf Course – site of the 2015 US Open – to prepare Boise State for the final leg of the season at the Seattle Redhawk Invitational, April 3-4, followed by the BYU Cougar Classic, April 21-22.

The Broncos are coming off back-to-back NCAA Regional appearances and won two tournaments in 2021-22 – the first time the program has won multiple events in the same season since 1992-93.

Trainor was named the head coach of Boise State on July 1 after spending nine seasons as the head coach at Akron.
