Bachmeier Named Watch List Candidate

BALTIMORE – Boise State quarterback Hank Bachmeier was named to the 2022 Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award Watch List, it was announced earlier this week.
The Golden Arm Award, presented annually to the top upperclassmen quarterback by the Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Educational Foundation, encapsulates all that is positive in college sports. Candidates were chosen based on performance on and off the field.
The 2022 watch list was the largest selection of active quarterbacks in the history of the Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award, representing 76 schools from all 10 Division I FBS conferences as well as an independent.
Bachmeier enters his fourth year under center for the Broncos in 2022. The Murrieta, Calif., native, registered 3,079 yards passing and 20 touchdowns last season, completing 63 percent of his passes. He moved up Boise State's single-season lists for attempts (ninth, 401) and completions (10th, 252) and notched his 20th-career game with at least 200 yards passing, the seventh-most in program history.
