Broncos Advance Three to General Patton Fall Invite Finals

BOISE, Idaho – Boise State men's tennis has advanced three Broncos into Sunday's General Patton Fall Invitational championship matches.

Senior Simon Arca Costas has reached the singles final after defeating Utah State's Stijn Paardekooper in straight sets 6-4, 6-1. He will face Idaho's Matteo Masala in the final at 10 a.m. at the Appleton Tennis Center.

Joining Arca Costas in a championship match is the doubles team of Michael Bott and Jan Lucca Marquardt who beat Montana's tandem of George Russell and Sam Baldwin 8-5 in today's semifinal. Bott and Marquardt will take on Utah State's Javier Ruiz Medina and Roko Savin for the doubles title at 8:30 a.m. Sunday.

BRONCO LEADERS

Arca Costas is undefeated in singles at 3-0.
Bott and Marquardt are also undefeated with a 3-0 record heading into Sunday.
Bott is 3-1 overall in singles and a combined (singles and doubles) 6-1 at the tournament.

WHAT'S NEXT

The General Patton Fall Invitational wraps up on Sunday at the Appleton Tennis Center. The action will start at 8:30 a.m. with the doubles matches, followed by the singles contests.
