BOZEMAN, Mont. – Boise State volleyball fell 3-0 (25-13, 25-21, 25-22) to 18th-ranked Washington Saturday afternoon at the Bobcat Invitational at Bozeman, Mont. The loss moves Boise State to 8-3 overall as it heads into conference play next week.
Â
The Broncos struggled to hit the ball against Washington's defense throughout the contest and add to that a slow start – dropping the first set by 12 points to the Huskies – and the Blue and Orange had its work cut out for it.
Â
After Boise State lost the opening set, the Broncos settled down in the next two periods and battled Washington hard. In both the second and third sets, Boise State played well early only to watch as the Huskies slowly pulled away midways through both frames to claim the set victories, winning the second by four points and the third by three.
