
Bronco Duo Finishes Top Five in Colorado

FORT COLLINS, Colo. – The Boise State women's golf team, led by fifth-year senior Elena Castanon and freshman Leia Chung, registered a fourth-place finish at the Ptarmigan Ram Classic, Tuesday.
The Broncos' team score of 864 (293-285-286, E) is the second-lowest three-round total in strokes and relationship to par in program history.
Castanon (73-67-70, -6) and Chung (69-71-70, -6) tied for fifth for their first-career top-five finishes.
Additionally, Chung became the first Bronco in women's golf history to fire three rounds under par in the same tournament.
Junior Franca Polla (76-72-70, +2) placed tied for 17th, marking her second top-25 finish in as many tournaments.

Following a week off, the Broncos travel to Broken Arrow, Okla., for the Dale McNamara Invitational, Oct. 10-11.
