WHAT'S NEXT:Â Boise State men's golf continues the fall season at the Mark Simpson Colorado Invitational, Oct. 2-3, in Boulder, Colo. The 54-hole tournament from the Colorado National Golf Club will play at par-72, 7,567-yards.
WE'VE GOT HISTORY:Â Boise State set the tournament record for 18-hole, 36-hole score and 54-hole score in winning the 2021 edition of this tournament to win by 10 strokes. Boise State's course record still stands.
LAST TIME OUT:Â Cole Rueck opened the season with back-to-back top-25 finishes after carding rounds of 70-73-75 (218, +2) to finish T-22 at the Kansas State Wildcat Invitational. The Broncos finished 11th on the team leaderboard at 21-over.
COACH TRAINOR, ROUND TWO: David Trainor returns for his second season as the head coach of the Broncos. Trainor led Boise State to a pair of top four finishes in his debut season, while fifth-year senior Max Charles earned medalist honors at the PING Cougar Classic – setting the school record for 36-hole score and 54-hole score in the process.
THE SQUAD: The Broncos return five members of their lineup from last year's Mountain West Championships, as well as two other members of last season's roster. Boise State also added freshmen Luke Cunningham and Luke Cushman, as well as sophomore Ryan Meyer – a transfer from Arizona.
THE FIELD:Â Boise State, Colorado (host), Air Force, Colorado State, Denver, Grand Canyon, Mercer, Nevada, Northern Colorado, Rice, San Francisco, UT-Arlington, Utah Valley, UTEP, Valparaiso, Washington State and Wyoming.
