WHAT'S NEXT

Boise State beach volleyball will compete on its home courts for the only time during the 2023 fall season at the City of Trees Classic, Oct. 21-22, at the Boise State Beach Volleyball Complex.

THE FIELD

The Broncos will welcome pairs from both Oregon and Utah to the event, marking the second-straight tournament Boise State will face off against the two teams. In the first tournament of the season in Seattle, Wash., Boise State pairs finished 15-1 in matches against the Ducks and 11-7 against the Utes.

THE FORMAT

The City of Trees Classic will consist of three separate divisions – Gold, Silver and Bronze. Pool play will occur on Saturday, with bracket play wrapping up the event on Sunday.  Eighteen Broncos will compete at the event, with three duos battling it out in each division.

LAST TIME OUT

Boise State opened the fall season at the Alki Pairs Tournament, Oct. 7-8, competing against pairs from Arizona, Oregon, Utah and Washington (host). After playing a program-record 71 total combined matches at the event, the Broncos finished with three bracket-play winners.

ZOOMING OUT

The 2023 fall season marks the second-straight year the NCAA has allowed beach volleyball programs to compete in pairs tournaments in the fall. The City of Trees Classic is the only home event and the second of five tournaments the Broncos will compete in this fall.

QUOTABLES

"Our team is really excited to be on the home courts and in front of the community. You can't describe the support we get from Bronco Nation. It's really fun for our team to showcase what we've been working on. We don't get to host a ton of home matches, so being able to show off beach volleyball to our community is exciting. Our fans make it a really special place to play and we can't get enough of it." – head coach Allison Voigt

FAN INFO

Admission for the event is free. Free parking will also be available in Lincoln Garage. Once parked, fans will enter their license plate number into the kiosk and select the beach volleyball option.
